We have come home to a few annoyances… another pipe in our kitchen has broke, we are $1,000 short for the 2nd trip, and the temperatures here are in the 90s and we don’t have central air.
But God is good, and our family and church are amazing, and all of these issues are being taken care of. Grateful doesn’t begin to describe it.
Instead of being bogged down by unfortunate circumstances we have been able to find some time to rest and time to spend with our beloved family.
Above is a photo from our first joyful morning back playing at the park with Wally and Lucy. But I wish I could share with you the mental images that are more dear to my heart…
- Our parents picking us up at the airport all wearing their “I helped adopt Oleg” tshirts
- Lucy climbing on top of me, clapping my hands, and laughing with glee when she realized her mommy was home
- Wally picking up a photograph of Oleg and sweetly rubbing it against his cheek.
We are happy to be home and deeply looking forward to upcoming day when Oleg will be with us.
